About the Day Counter

Count the days between two dates, with an option to include the end date. Handy for holiday planning, attendance, rentals and habit tracking.

How to use the Day Counter

  1. Enter the Start Date and End Date.
  2. Tick Include the end date in the count (+1 day) if the last day should count too.
  3. Press Count Days.

Formula and method

Days = end date − start date (plus 1 if the end date is included).

Worked example

A hotel stay from 10 June to 14 June is 4 nights. If you count each calendar day including both ends, it is 5 days.

When to use the Day Counter

  • Tracking how many days have passed since an event.
  • Planning a countdown for a project.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Entering the date in the wrong format.
  • Ignoring time zones when the event happens at a specific time.
