The PDF was designed to be final, which is exactly why editing one feels like picking a lock. This online editor opens the file for the changes people actually need: correcting text, adding a note, a shape, an image or a signature block, then saving a clean edited copy.

How to use this tool

  • Upload the PDF you want to change.
  • Use the toolbar to edit text, or add text boxes, images, shapes and drawings.
  • Save and download the edited PDF.

Edit the copy, keep the original

Small PDF edits are safest done on a duplicate: fix the typo, send the copy, and the untouched original stays in your files as the record. And a boundary worth knowing: scanned PDFs are pictures, not text, so editing their words means covering and retyping rather than true in-place text editing, whatever tool you use.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change existing text in a PDF?
In a text-based PDF, yes: click the text to correct it. In a scanned PDF the text is an image, so you would cover the old words with a matching box and type over them.
Will editing break the document's formatting?
Added elements sit on top of the page, so the original layout is untouched. Edited text uses fonts as close to the original as the file allows.
Is my document private while editing?
The file is processed for this session's editing and download. For highly sensitive documents, work on a copy and keep your own original offline as usual.
