Formula and method
Midpoint = ((x₁ + x₂) ÷ 2, (y₁ + y₂) ÷ 2)
Worked example
The midpoint of (2, 3) and (8, 7) is (10 ÷ 2, 10 ÷ 2) = (5, 5).
Halfway. The midpoint of (2, 3) and (6, 11) is ((2 + 6) ÷ 2, (3 + 11) ÷ 2) = (4, 7).
