How to use the Brick calculator

  1. Enter the wall Length (ft) and Height (ft).
  2. Choose a Brick Size, or pick Custom and enter the brick length, height and Joint (in).
  3. Press Calculate Bricks.

Formula and method

Bricks = wall area ÷ area of one brick including its mortar joint. A standard brick wall needs roughly 6 to 7 bricks per square foot.

Tips

  • Subtract the area of doors and windows.
  • Order 5% to 10% extra for breakage and cuts.
