Sort lines by how long they are.

How to use the Sort Text by Length

  1. Paste your text into the box, click Sample for an example, or load a text file with File.
  2. Choose Short → Long or Long → Short.
  3. Press Sort by Length.
  4. Use Copy or .TXT to save the result.

Worked example

Sorted short to long, the lines banana, fig, apple become fig, apple, banana.

Tips

  • Turn on Trim lines so leading spaces do not affect the length.
