A signed PDF makes a promise: this person approved this exact document. This checker verifies the promise β€” reading the digital signature inside a PDF and reporting who signed, when they signed, and whether anything in the document has changed since the signature was applied.

How to use this tool

  • Upload the signed PDF.
  • The checker reads the embedded digital signature and its certificate details.
  • Review the result: signer, signing time, and document integrity status.

Integrity is the real signature

A picture of a signature proves little; anyone can paste one. A digital signature is mathematics instead: it seals the document's exact contents, so altering even one character afterwards breaks the seal and this check shows it. That difference is why banks, courts and contracts rely on digital signatures for documents that matter.

Frequently asked questions

What does the checker verify?
The signer's identity from the certificate, the time of signing, and whether the document's contents match what was signed (integrity). Any change after signing is reported.
My PDF has a signature image but the checker finds nothing. Why?
A drawn or pasted signature is only an image; it carries no certificate or seal to verify. This checker validates cryptographic digital signatures embedded in the file.
Does an invalid result mean the document is fake?
It means the seal does not verify: the document may have been altered after signing, or the certificate may be expired or untrusted. Treat it as a reason to ask the sender for a freshly signed copy.
